Brushes!

Brushes are the best way to apply makeup. It can be used to apply foundation, concealer, powder and eyeshadow. When beginning your makeup collection, it is better to invest more money on your brushes than the most expensive foundation. A good makeup brushes will last you a very long time and will always help you achieve a flawless look. There are many types of brushes out there and they all serve a different purpose. Some are even made out of different bristles and you should know what the difference in bristles will do and what they are good for. For example, you should use a brush with synthetic hair for liquid applications such as foundation and concealer. For powder and eyeshadow, you should use a natural hair brush. Knowing your brushes and their uses can make the crappiest makeup look amazing.

Foundation: Use a synthetic brush. Foundations typically tend to be liquid or cream. You want to use a synthetic brush in order to apply it evenly to the face and give you flawless complexion.

Concealer: You want to use a small synthetic brush slightly tapered around the edges. This will help to conceal all the small spots you are trying to cover up. Make sure to blend completely.

Powder: Use a big natural fiber brush. The bigger the brush, the more natural finish you will get.

Contour: Soft angled brush. This will help to contour the hollows of your cheeks. This brush is also a good brush for bronzers. Make sure this is a natural fiber brush and that you make a fishy face to help locate the correct area of the face to contour.

Brush: Soft medium round brush with natural fibers. Smile and apply blush to the apples of your cheeks.

Eyeshadow: Use a small, tapered natural fiber brush. This will help pick up the product and apply to eyelids. Blend eyeshadow!

Fan Brush: Light natural fiber brush. Great for applying loose powders such as highlighting powders or to set concealer with fine translucent powder.

Eyeliner/ Angle Brush: Great for applying gel liner to achieve a wing or to apply it onto the waterline. Angled brushes could also be used to fill in eyebrows.
