My favorite eyeliners.

There are many different types of eyeliners out in the market. I personally reach out for the popular pencil liner. It's practical and each to work with. If you are new with eyeliners, I would suggest starting off with a pencil eyeliner. The choice of eyeliner ultimately defaults on what look you are tempting to achieve. Some looks require other types of liners such as gel or liquid. My other go to liner will have to be a gel liner. Specifically speaking of the Maybeline gel liner in black. It's so easy to work with and the pigmentation is amazing! It's affordable as well. Each liner serves a different purpose. Here is a breakdown:

Pencil Eyeliner: Good for most looks. It is also the best one (in my opinion) to use on the waterline. Depending on which one you use, it's easy to smudge it and help create a sexy smokey look. Pencil liners (I recommend soft kohl kinds) are blendable and long lasting. My favorite pencil liner is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On pencil in Zero. The color is very pigmented and holds on throughout the entire day. I love using this liner and I find myself reaching for it more and others.

Gel Eyeliner:  I find that gel eyeliners are much easier to work with when lining the upper lash line. They tend to glide on very easily and gives you control of direction when lining with an angled brush. I love using gel liners for days when I just want to go for a natural eye makeup and emphasize on my lashes. Gel liners allow me to get as close to the lash line as I desire. This helps to bring focus to my upper lashes and create volume. It tricks the eye to think my lashes are fuller than what they really are. Gel liners can also be used on the waterline, but it is not my favorite. I like gel liners specifically for the upper lash line. My favorite gel liner is the Maybeline Lasting Drama EyeStudio in black. I love the pigmentation and how it lasts me all day. It's also affordable and you can get it at your local drugstore.

Liquid Liners: These can be tricky. It takes practice and some getting used to. They are create for a quick and defined look. However, liquid liners are a little harder to have control of and if you get them on the waterline, they hurt! Make sure to avoid the waterline when using liquid. It will burn and the water flooding out of your eyes will ruin your makeup. If you are new to liquid liners, I would suggest being patience and practicing using a liquid liner before attempting it for a specific look or event. Liquid liners can be fun and easy once you have the hang of it. My favorite liquid liner of all time is the L'oreal Carbon Black Intense Lineur. It's so easy to work with and accessible to anyone. I would highly recommend you pick up at your local drugstore.
