With lifestyle being part of my blog, I thought it was necessary to share what I do on a daily basis. Between working two jobs and going to school full time, I have found that I am constantly running out of energy. There is always something I need to do and one of those things is a pick-me-up. I need it to help me get through the rest of my day or to even be able to wake me up in the morning. Much of my resources for a pick-me-up are Redbulls and the infamous White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks (I always get a triple venti, meaning huge drink with three shots of espresso). I know what you are all thinking, "How has she not have had a heart attack yet", yet I need it! If you have any suggestions on a healthier pick-me-up, PLEASE SHARE! I am sure all this sugar I consume isn't healthy for me.
The best and unhealthiest drink is yet to be discussed. My daily supply of caffeine comes from three daily shots of Cuban Coffee. Talk about unhealthy!!! If you have not had it, don't try it!! It's addicting.. I can' get enough. I do this everyday in the morning. It's a routine of mine that I cannot live without. If you watch the Kardashians, maybe you have seen the episode of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami where Khloe goes on a hunt for it in the streets of Miami. Yes, it is that addicting! One shot is enough to give you the perfect pick-me-up. I have been drinking Cuban coffee for years!!! The one shot isn't enough for me.. I need 3! As unhealthy as it can be, I have a hard time finding anything that works anywhere as good as this little shot of heaven.
After watching this episode of the Kardashian, I actually felt normal for having this addiction to Cuban coffee.
Here are some step by step instructions of how to make this delicious shot of coffee :).

Fill bottom
espresso maker with water. Fill it just enough to hit the pressure plug on the
side of the espresso maker. This is also seen inside. Fill up the water just
under that point.2) Put the metal filter on top of the bottom container. Fill it with Café Bustelo coffee ground. Make sure it is compacted.3) Screw the top of the espresso maker and place it on top of the stove over high heat.4) Put six teaspoons of sugar on measuring container and wait for the first little bit of espresso to brew. Use the first bit that fills the bottom of coffee maker. This is when the coffee is at its thickest consistency and what will make the foam.5) Pour the first little bit of coffee onto the sugar.6) Stir vigorously and let the rest of the coffee brew.7) Keep stirring. Stir until the mixture has a paste like texture and the color gets lighter. This process is called caramelizing the sugar.8) When coffee is done brewing, pour in it on top of caramelized sugar and stir slowly.9) Foam is made; pour it onto your little cup. Enjoy!
